Well I've been playing the final version of Way of the Warrior for about a little under a week now, and must say, it is a really cool game! The guys at EGM must have only played it for a day or two. The first couple of days with Way are very frustrating, I must say. The fighting engine is different, but after about 5 days of playing I can honestly say it is a great game.
The graphics and sound have to be seen to be believed. Way has the best graphics in any fighting game I have ever seen. The FMV is spectacular and the intro is really cool. White Zombie is really good and adds a lot to the game.
All in all, I don't think EGM gave Way a chance. They were right one the graphics and sound, that can be seen right away. But the gameplay has to be learned.
3DO owners will be in for a real treat! Way is a good game with mind blowing graphics and sound, the gameplay just has to be learned. It certainly isn't a perfect 10, but it sure as hell ain't a 5, 4 or 3!
