Way of the Warrior: What to look for in Way by David Liu

Apparently, Way may hit retailers as early as one week from now. Here is a pseudo-map of goodies to look for in Way:

  1. Special moves, about 15 per character
  2. Fatalities, 2 unique to each character, and around 5 background specific fatalities. So look for 7 fatalities that each character can do.
  3. Magic: about 15 total, each character can do a subset (maybe half) of this total set. (hand picked by yours truly). To do magic, you need to press a certain button/direction combination WHILE doing one particular move. Hint: all characters can do this move, and if youi watch the CPU magic you (when it is badly behind in life), it will become apparent what this move is. No magics are sequential moves, i.e., none of this L-L-R-A stuff; all magics are ONE MOVE (e.g. press back and R).
  4. Secret characters: You can immediately play 9 characters. Two bosses brings the total to 11. But wait, there's more! If you are really good, you can fight a total of oh, say 14-20 different characters.
  5. Hurt your friend: Find codes to play as any character in the game in the 2P mode. It wouldnt be fair to do this is tourney mode... Imagine telling your little bro, "OK, let's fight." Then he chooses the kung fu guy (Dragon), and you choose the dragon (High Abbot).
  6. Multiple games in one CD: Look for at least a couple other games in this CD, some of which may have little to do with Way. Juicy hint: one of them is a FOUR PLAYER GAME!
  7. Secret graphics: self-explanatory. Requires you to do an almost superhuman feat to see.
